RESCUE INC. COMMUNITY TRAINING
CENTER
History
The training center was established in 1994 through an affiliation
with the American Heart Association with the goal of offering
the community quality education regarding the signs and symptoms
of heart attack and stroke as well as the appropriate steps to
assist a victim of sudden cardiac arrest (CPR).
Within a few years, the community requested a venue for first
aid training and through an affiliation with the National Safety
Council Rescue Inc. initiated additional classes. The RICTC now
educates approximately 2,000 community residents each year, including
high school students and adults from all walks of life. We celebrate
the collective efforts of a network of more than 40 instructors,
each of whom is a currently certified and practicing emergency
medical technician, paramedic, or nurse in southern Vermont or
New Hampshire.
