RESCUE INC. COMMUNITY TRAINING
CENTER
Windham County SAFE Kids Coalition
Nationally, accidents are the number one cause of child deaths.
Windham County SAFE Kids Coalition (WCSKC) is a non-profit organization
whose sole purpose is the prevention of unintentional injuries
to children 14 years and younger. We educate and promote child
safety through many initiatives including free, monthly car seat
checks and the distribution of car seats, children’s bicycle
helmets, and other safety equipment.
WCSKC has provided safety education and promoted injury prevention
in our community since 1998. Our members include individuals from
local emergency services, schools, state agencies as well as local
businesses and individuals. Though we are a standalone organization,
WCSKC enjoys a longstanding affiliation with Rescue Inc. and our
office is located in Rescue’s Division 1 facility.
As we celebrate our tenth year of serving the Windham County
Community, we are proud of our accomplishments but we also realize
that there is more work to be done.
You can help us achieve our goal of keeping children safe as
we continue to offer Child Car Seat fitting stations in Brattleboro
and Bellows Falls. Because of past generous donations from individuals,
we have been able to provide free car seats, bicycle helmets,
smoke detectors and gun locks.
Please consider getting involved. Keeping Kids Safe is our number
one goal. For further information about WCSKC programs or to make
a tax deductible donation, please contact:
