Bandaging, splinting, oxygen, CPR

Advanced Life Support (ALS)

	Insert breathing tubes, establishing intravenous access, administering medications, acquiring electrocardiograms, acting as the eyes and ears for the physician at the hospital
	Reduces pain, suffering, disability, and often prevents death

Represents one of the highest returns per dollar spent

Is utilized by the area nearly a dozen times per day
