The Rescue Inc. Monoclonal Antibody (MAB) Infusion Team provided monoclonal antibody infusions and injections to COVID + patients throughout the state of Vermont. Rescue Inc was contacted by the Vermont Department of Health early in October of 2021 to develop a pilot program to administer IV Infusion Treatments to patients in the pre-hospital setting. The first COVID Antibody Treatments were administered by Rescue Inc Paramedics and AEMT's in a nursing home along the Canadian Border a couple weeks later. In December of 2021 the first of 2 full-time MAB Teams began working with Hospitals throughout the State to provide these treatments in the pre-hospital setting utilizing our custom built Mobile Clinics. The MAB Team operated these clinics from December 2021 till July 2022 and was on standby till December 2022.

This team reinforced hospital staffing through the state of Vermont providing patient access to COVID treatments even when healthcare staffing is strained. The MAB Team provided monoclonal antibodies and antiviral IV infusions in St. Albans, St. Johnsbury, Rutland, Brattleboro, Burlington, and Bennington just to name a few. The MAB Team frequently partnered with hospitals in the area to provide easier access to the local patients. They have provided support to Northwestern Regional Hospital, Northeastern Regional Hospital, Rutland Regional Medical Center, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, and University of Vermont Medical Center.

The MAB Teams was deployed to assisted living facilities and nursing homes in places like Greensboro, Rutland, St. Johnsbury, Killington, and Chelsea. By treating patients in facilities like this they have been able to lift the burden off these facilities and surrounding healthcare systems by treating patients before they become seriously ill, requiring hospitalization. In addition to working inside the facilities listed above the Monoclonal Infusion Team also utilizes two mobile infusion centers. These are trailers that were designed and built by Rescue Inc to be able to provide treatment wherever necessary. Check out some of the pictures and you will see that these mobile infusion centers mirror infusion rooms that you frequently find in the hospitals.

We are proud to report that our MAB Teams administered over 500 intravenous and intramuscular COVID treatments throughout the state Vermont from October 2021 til July of 2022.
